Thanks Paul...yeah man nothing like the old Fenders!
I had an original 1965 Fender Tele Custom sunburst with binding when I came to NYC in 1976. I had to sell it to Alex one time when I really needed some dough, it's probably worth 10K now. I have an ESP copy of the Tele Custom sunburst now and it's pretty damn good box really, takes the 'pang' away from losing my original Fender.
I actually got to meet Leo Fender which was a huge stroke of good fortune. I love my 1965 Fender amps, one original Twin with fact. JBL's that belonged to John McFee a long time ago (I've had it since 1981 and it's tweaked) and also a clean '65 Fender Bandmaster piggyback. The Twin looks like it's been through the washing machine about 20 times, all orig. though don't ya' know!
